Ok here's the deal...no music gang. The concept is far too diverse to keep together. Too many people with too many different tastes so there is chance of genre-bashing.
HOWEVER...we can make official threads for music GENRES such as The Official Rap thread or The Official Metal/Rock thread. I'll post some possible ones now and get started on making them once people are satisfied.
The Official Metal/Rock thread
The Official Rap/Hip Hop thread
The Official Dance/House thread
The Official Pop music thread
If anyone wants other GENERAL music genre thread then let me know. Don't go into specifics like 'Happy Hardcore' or 'Electro pop-punk'.

'Punk' falls under the category of Rock. The Metal/Rock thread is specific to bands in general...be it punk, death metal, emo or alternative like Coldplay or Placebo (but c'mon...who really listens to them? )

I was going to put the rules in each thread but since you brought it up now, I may aswell lay them out here.
Anyone who is reported 'genre-bashing' in any of the music threads will be PERMANENTLY BANNED. I will NOT tolerate anyone thinking they can abuse other peoples' tastes and preferences. Elitists are NOT WELCOME on this site and in these specific threads. SO a word of caution...if you want to flame another music genre other than your own, leave and find yourself a flame war on a music forum.
