There is no negative effect in leaving your UMD in the PSP. However if it does open, that might cause a few problems (it has happened to me once).

Maybe its the presumption that everything is ok in the world...

Oh and before you or anyone starts.... the ocean does not reflect the sky. it refracts it. What is the sky filled with? Air - which is transparent, but can have a few other particles..... so if anything, there is algae (which is actually green) at the bottom of the ocean, the sun rays refract it and voila - thats the way we see it. If anyone has got a better explanation - post it. I particularly don't care....
