i think that the 2006 world cup has givin australia a lift in the world game. most people doubting the soccerroos saying they wont get past group stages n so forth
since i play in the nsw state team u see alot of the younger players rising and alot more coming in , soccer in australia will rise and our nation will have many talented stars

Meh.....A League? Nah i really cannot watch it, bores me too much and i can watch Serie A! That tells you something, EPL and Primiera Liga are the best 2 leagues apart from the Champions League. Champios League is THE BEST football competition, maybe better then the World Cup.

Let me tell you the socceroos have done a hell of alot for soccer in this country. What began as me jumping on the band wagon to support my country turned me into a fan of the sport and i will be trying to watch and go watch live A league games to support the sport in the country.
Also, nick, what are some good leagues i can watch internationally that are on decent times. I dont want to watch fairies diving so tell me some that dont have pansies. Cheers.

um theres not much on at decent times haha ! but spanish league and english premier league are great leagues spanish they play real fast quick play alot of action n crowds go wild !

Man, English Premier League is the BEST! Only on Fox Sports, all Saturday and Sunday nights! Spanish La Liga - ESPN usually 4.30 Sunday mornings, still very good to watch! Although the Spanish can become VERY racist!

Australian soccer's dull as crap-- anyone from aus who has talent is gone overseas to the good leagues-- English premiere league deffnitely no. 1 (go liverpool!) in the world (and that's scientifically proven.........) Even tho Australia got into the cup, they're still pretty dodgy, and didn't really stand any chance of winning (altho, there were upsets here too, and i wouldn't have guessed italy would've won (anything's possible)). They just get hyped by nationalists who'll back australia simply cause they're australian (which is what the world-cup is (millimetres away from racism)) which is fine--

Egos dont start that crap. What do you think people will do when their country makes the world cup, go for another team? I dont know whats with people that live in Australia and just refuse to recognise that they are an Australian and to go for them and not barrack for another team, its BS.
Dont start calling the Socceroos dodgy because they put up a hell of a fight and if it wasnt for the cup being corrupt and wanting the big soccer nations in the finals, we'd see Australia go alot further. I bet next time around we'll go further as we've proved ourselves as a great soccer nation.
Nick, What times are the EPL on at nights and when does the season start.

@porter- lol, ME don't start, and u say it's corrupt? okay Pot, I (the kettle) will be quiet...
I think u misunderstood anyways-- all i'm saying is that there's a diffrence between following ur nation's team (i'm tottaly for it ), and, saying they're good even when they're bad, just because they're ur team--
also-if the cup was corrupt, and fixed so the 'big teams' got thru, how could aus have 'put up a fight'-- they musta been in the corruption also if that's wat u mean by corruption (match-fixing etc.), or they wouldnt have played...
