the majority of man u fans in aus are ppl that no nothing about english football and still think bekham plays for them
Don't be a arrogant prick.
I agree with IMColonel. I did the same when I used to have foxtel, now I just check the paper on a regular basis.
Eric Cantona was great back in the day.
I love my sport and yeah I wish i had foxtel again maybe next year.
Coug's said no flaming man, so chill out or this thread's closed--
Do you know what MAJORITY means? he didn't say all man u fans, + both I and nickop said similar things, with Nickop's being the most severe ('Man Utd is just a bandwagon! If you want to be a true fan pick a side that isnt the top team or the most famous one, i've always liked Man Utd but im a Blue boy!'), so why not try'n take him on? lol- i'm just seeking equality lol
and it IS true that many man. u fans don't care as much as you and colonel say you do, and just go for man. u cause it's the popular team that evryone who wants to follow the cool sport go for-- that doesn't mean there aren't actual fans, but it does mean that there are more fake-'fans' than real fans

Im not saying anyone has to go for Australia.
But i hate it when people say they are not Australian when they were born here or were brought here early in their life. Its evident in most Middle-Eastern and European people and it really gets on my nerves.
When does the Asia cup on guys, arent there a few qualifying matches in Aus? Will the Aus world cup team be playing that?

You've gone way off topic, and also completely misunderstood what i said-- I would love to smash your shallow observations into the ground with a truth-mallet, but I've been warned...
Who's the no. 1 world player? I reckon Michael Owen's the best, tho he was (of course) out of the cup

There are people out there that are Australian-- me. (Born in Australia) but that doesn't mean they have to go for a Australian team

couldn't agree with you more, in a similar kind of way

I know we've got Kuwait at Aussie stadium soon, in Aug or Sep? Tickets went on sale yesterday. I think it's crap how we get 1 game and get 100,000 to it, and then they take all the games to sydney for christ sake, it ain't fair!!!

I think it's fair to dissasociate from Australia-- it's not really a country, because a country implies an ehtnic, cultural and social connectedness, whereas Australia has not one, but many(many) individual ones brought in together to form australia-- it's not a whole, it's a lot of individuals-- English etc. came to aboriginal country, then other nations came to an english colony-- now it's all mixed with people from evrywhere, which is probly how a country started the way it was should be-- this means that to be 'Australian' you have to be of all cultures present, or of none--
@ colonel: Are the tix to that game expensive or what? didju buy one already? It'd be wicked to go to
p.s- lol-- corrupt russian runnning a football team... hilarious

Egos in answer to your statements/questions:
You just wait a million years, we'll be our own race!!!!!!
------
No i live in melbourne so i can't exactly go Only 10 000 were released, i think, so plenty more to buy
-------
Well he's the richest man in the world atm. and no one really knows how he got so much $$$$$, Russia is basically a place where the richer seem to get richer and the poor get poorer. Sad isn't it, he's got a whole country of poor people back home and he plays with his money, gambling on semi-talented and unreliable players, that they are CLEARLY overpaying.

HUGE Serie A NEWS:
Penalties for Match Fixing:
Fiorontina - Relegated to Serie B start season with negative 12 points
Lazio - Relegated to Serie B start season with negative 7 points
Juventus - Relegated to Serie B start season with negative 30 points
Ac Milan - Stay in Serie A start season with negative 15 points
4 of the biggest Italian clubs, hit big!!! So they should of been, it just makes you wonder, the Greeks were banned from FIFA matches (although that's been lifted) but hten the Italians can go on and win the world cup with 18 players in these teams.
Referees have been dumped as well.
Couple banned for 1, 2, 3 and 4 year bans, and a couple of linesman 1 years, and president of Italian Football Federation banned for 4.5 years and vice pres banned for 5 years.
Geeziz!

I think the Serie A scandal was a bit slack on the fines. AC should be relegated to Serie B too. Buffon won't go to Arsenal as long as Lehman is there. He's got a massive ego and wont let Buffon join and replace him as number 1 GK.
Fabio Cannavaro, Zambrotta, Camoranesi, Alessandro Del Piero , Lilian Thuram, Viera, David Trezeguet Luca Toni and Kaka will be the big transfer targets. Any team would luv to have them. Hopefully Chelsea will steal Kaka and Viera and even Thuram! Real Mardid will be very intrested in Buffon imo and same with David Trezeguet.
Juventus will appeal the decision though! but another BIG news is Ruud van Nistelrooy is going to leave the EPL. After scoring 150 goals in 219 matches for the Red Devils it looks like he'll be off to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

van nistlerooy has asked for a transfer, i think everyone accepted that was gonna happen months ago.
@nickop, i wasn't saying all of chelsea's player were semi-talented, they do have class, like Cech, Gallas,Terry, Lampard, Cole, Robben and Makelele.
But they've made a number of rediculously pointless signings, some of which just to make sure other teams don't get the player, like:
Parker, never plays, has wrecked his career, would've played WC if he hadn't of gone there.
Mutu, drug cheat, was overated
ferrera, is in and out, i htink they payed a packet for him?
Essien, is on the way out already, for a player they paid like 40 mil for.
Crespo, has struggled for much of the time he's been there.
Duff, started off good but now doesn't get a game
Gudjohnson, never plays anymore
these are all players that never get a game, wouldn't it be better if players of htis class were playing for a lower side, it would make a better league out of the EPL.
Will reply furhter later on gtg

Ruud van Nistelrooy is definantly going, no doubt about it, he asked to leave.
Parker: He's be average i'll say that.
Mutu: Was good but now plays for Serie B team Fiorentina lol,..they just paid 8 million Euros for him! HAHA He'll leave soon imo
Ferrera: Paulo Ferreira is a great defender but has been overshadowed, i think he was inured bad for a while. Hasn't done too much for Chelsea and we only paid 13.2 million Euros.
Essien: Im totally against you on this. Without a doubt the strongest footballer in the WORLD! He's damn tough and worth every cent!
Crespo: 10 goals in 30 appearances which included 3 that won the game for us! Nothing wrong at all with his signing.
Duff: He's a real shame, great player but is easily overshadowed by his teamates and i expect for him to leave this year. Injury plagued through-out his first season and never got into the team after.
Gudjohnson: Off to Barca - 8.2 million pounds. He was great but with Crespo and Drogba, he got little playing time unless one of them were injured.
Now with Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko and hopefully we can pick up some Serie A player.....the future looks good for Chelsea!

Shevchenko, lol, he would've been worth 50% of what they paid for him if they did it now
Essien: Still hasn't got himself a permanent position, i see a touch of discipline problems. You get a bit of that from Africa i guess.
Bridge, all these signings sent one of England's players into dissaray (shouldn't English clubs be advantaging their homegrowns?) This is why england doesn't succeed, their clubs don't support the Country.
Cudicini, only still there because of the $$$, should be keeping Serie A or top league
Del Horno, on the way out, only reason he would stay is because he is injured, less $$$
Johnson, could be playing at another EPL club and starting, wasn't too far off England WC squad, if he was playing 1st team ???
Geremi, never plays, and when he does they play a centre midfielder as a Right Back
Wright - Phillips, forgot about this one, he doesn't get regular games, he should of played for England, i don't know what these kids are thinking when they sign for a club knowing that you weren't gonna get a game (u would have to no wouldn't ya), oh hang i no what they're thinking $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Kezman, two words, Semi Talented

I wouldn't be comparing Chelsea with Real Madrid, all of Real's signings are reknowned superstars that are proven players, Ronaldo, Beckham, Zidane, Figo, Graveson, woodgate (stable players in EPL) Cassano and then the others that weren't were Brazilians.
oh and nick i think more than that list will be on the way out!!!, what a huge oppurtunity for the secong string players of Milan.

now don't get me started on Liverpool, for one they brought Harry back to early, not once but twice, both in cup finals, and one of them cost us against Italy
