Graphics:
Madden NFL will introduce to you pretty sweet graphics for a NFL game as they aren't all perfect but you can't complain as all sporting games have the tendancy of having rather poor graphics! 3/5
Sound:
The sound in Sport games is one of the many good things in life the screams,laughs and commentary although the sound is also poor similiar to the graphics you can still hear it as it has quite powerful sound!4/5
Gameplay:
The gameplay part is similiar to all NFL games you have pre-season training, competition modes and similiar things to that! The plays don't take long to pick up all you do is pick a quarter back run or a QB pass they are both similiar except if you choose to run you will pass the ball to a teamate and he will run down the field however if you choose to pass to your teamates they will run and then you will pass when they have made about 30-50 yards!5/5
Controls:
These do take some time to pick up but after a while you will be pressing pass and step to the left without even having to look! 4/5
Overall:
An awesome sport game that everyone should get even if they only plan on playing it once a week! overall i give Madden NFL06 4/5

Madden '06, is a pretty cool game. It was only just yesterday, I posted a comment about the game stating it was confusing and not so enjoyable. In less than 24 hrs since, i've played it some more and the game is really growing on me and im enjoying it.
NFL games are great and my comment yesterday stated that whilst I liked the whole NFL thing, its confusing in that EA didnt provide an extra booklet with the games basic rules and abreviations which would be both appreciated and most helpful for fans of the sport outside of the US. Ive since been on the web and browsed the NFL sites etc and copied quite a few pages of info relating to the games rules and tactics. (SOME TACTICS ARE COMPLEX)
To sum up my point, i've given Madden '06 a chance to grow on me whilst also learning more about the sport and the way its played. In doing so, I now know what im doing and as a result, like in anything, when you understand something, you enjoy and excel at it.
Graphically, the games very well made and despite hearing news that the game has some minor bugs during loading, I am yet to experience any problems with this game. The controls are easy to get used to and all in all, the game plays really well.
The only down side to Madden '06 for me, is that I dont believe there is much atmosphere within the game compared to NHL and NBA games. Madden does have some commentary in it which is cool but other than that, its pretty basic in background sounds etc.
Overall, if you are after a sporting game, id highly recommend you get out to your local retailer and pick up a copy of this really cool game.
