because people will start trading in there old psp for a slimline one more homebrew capable psp will be avaliable to the public so they will get rid of all the psp that can use homebrew

But apart from that we all know the main reason why it is being closed off. Piracy hurts developers... but if they made it more affordable, I think anyone would be happy to buy it. I personally am sick of paying $80 for a game when its not even fresh... that is why I choose and read up on all my games before I buy them.

I did see this PSP game Echochrome uk.gamespot.com/ being shown at E3 also supposed to be avalible for download (but only through the PSN via PS3 (which still kinda sucks)) and on UMD (I think?) if all games were brought out like this it would cut the prices down. Just need good security from you know who..... I hope this does happen along with Movie downloads for both PS3&PSP and a PSP store like the PS3s PSN.. Come on Sony give us what we want!!!

Oh and about the new PSP i'm all for it! i can't wait to get one!
