no it's a game, as far as i am aware you assign instruments to buttons and press them loop by loop of the song to make music. you can also record things like a singer i suppose and make instrumental, then you can export them to the computer in MP3 for psp/ipods ect

Yes BJ2, its in the options, you can even take off the animations, making it a bit quicker. Anyone managed to bang out a decent tune tho? Also, its so NOT a game!
Its a professional mixing suite, thats why its so damn hard, unless u had experience.
