PSP Software \ Louis

louisluo8 says:

Help!!! I have tried many times to update my PSP software from 2.71 to 3.52 but always failed. First, I followed the instructions on www.playstation.com.au website, i.e. downloaded the software to my computer. When I downloaded the software, I first clicked the Open button, but the computer didn't recognise .psp file and could not open it. So I clicked the Save button, after the software was saved in my computer I copied it to the PSP directory PSP > Game > Update. It didn't work and the PSP was not updated.

I then downloaded (by clicking the Save button) the software directly to PSP > Game > Update of my PSP, the EBOOT is saved in the memory stick but the PSP was not updated.

I have repeated the above processes many times, but didn't work at all.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

lol there are people still upgrading, why not downgrade from 2.71 to 1.50 and get homebrew? It's not as hard as everyone makes it out 2 be!

Kespen says:

It's not hard to understand,
homebrew is custom, but you can't do that if you upgrade.
(I'll dandaman give you the details if he will.)

luvmypsp says:

just for the record..

i hope mypsp users are not also advising people on how to steal software and/or play pirated software on their psp's by using so called 'custom' firmware

also.....

by homebrewing your psp you run the risk of:

voiding your warranty
bricking your psp
breaking the law
not being able to run some official psp software

i hope dandaman FULLY explained that as well
