PSP Hardware \ To buy or not to buy?

Well, I'll start off by saying that recently I've started to seriously consider buying a PSP. I'm pretty sure that I'll buy one at /some/ point in time, but with MGS: Portable Ops and GoW: Chains of Olympus out and Crisis Core around the corner I feel that this is a pretty good time to go ahead and buy a PSP.

However, I'm one of those guys that gets /really/ pissed off after buying something and having a newer or cheaper model being released a couple of weeks later. Are there any chances of a price drop or a new model this year?

And just general advice on whether now would be a good time or not would very much be appreciated.

EBGames will then match it as well.

I paid $299 at EBGames for the new PSP Silver Limited Edition with God of War game.......simply awesome.

I was like you and waiting several months before i took the plunge (like a week after getting the PS3 for my son).

I use to be an avid gamer few years back and played both online and on PC till 4 am in the mornings on weekends.....

Well after only a few days my PSP is now not getting to bed until around midnight.....better yet, I can play it in bed when the wife is fast asleep.......best of both worlds....
Might even consider one for my 9 year old son for Xmas.....

Ooops forgot to mention, I dont really think they will be dropping down in price as demand is too high especially with these added game specials...considering they would normally sell for around $330 otherwise.....or else you can try your luck on eBay.....(I would'nt though) not something like this......although I recently purchased a new CB but that was from a store in Adelaide who also sold via eBay....

Just a nice looking silver.....nothing more but from what I've read, silver is one of the more popular colours now outselling in asia....

actually you will find JB are dearer, they had the GoW pack for $309, i got it from Big W for $289
