Graphics:
The graphics in this game are some of the very best graphics i have ever seen and although in some bits they seem a bit childish you could not ask for more. The movie cut-scenes are perfect although one or two do jump a bit due to using up so much power from your psp. 4.5/5
Sound:
The sound coming out of this game was awesome even though the psp tends to be very quiet with many games. I only blame konami for putting a terrible soundtrack on this excellent game. 4/5
Gameplay:
Key of Heaven has a very good and thoughtful storyline although it only took me TWELVE tiny hours of fun to finish this game. This could vary from gamer to gamer but it is something i would like to warn people about before they go and spend $60-80 on this game. 4/5
Controls:
The controls are very good and simple and you will take no longer than a mere 5 minutes to get used to them. 5/5
Overall:
The best game i have played since the legend of zelda: ocarina of time. One thing you should look out for is the fact that it won't take long to complete i give this game a 4/5!

A really fun action RPG-- Set in a cross japanese/chinese cultural background; play as shinbu and trek across a rich land to fulfill your destiny when your entire clan is mysteriously wiped out: At the same time attempting to learn the chi-arts (magic) and intense and never-before-mastered sword arts of the sanyuan.
This game takes a little while to get used to for a couple of reasons: 1- there's no real tutorial, and if you're like me, and don't read the manual you might find the gameplay (and fighting in particular) a little confusing at first as there is no real explanation of how to make sword combos (which is a great feature of the game), or how to use chi arts (magic (another great feature of the game)). I spent a little while wondering why i couldnt use magic, only to accidentaly find that i could, but just hadn't known it.... The other reason for the game's difficulty is the camera: it remains in a panning technique (following shinbu sideways) for the whole game- this constantly set camera is a little hard to get used to, but there isn't really a problem with it after you adapt, and since the environment is set so imoveably it probably enabled the designers to focus on more important aspects on the game (rather than designing sets from every angle).
The fighting is really cool, with a combination of hand-made and pre-made sword combos (for which you must collect scrolls throughout the game to complete), and magic, or chi-arts (which you slowly build up with experience, and through the main quest as you visit the different lands). The bosses are excellently made, and ussually quite difficult also--
Key of Heaven offers a really cool story, and one that draws you in with a fun and quite long journey attached-- there is only one mission, but I found it to be enough because of the vast detail of it, and because it went in a lot of directions without me wishing for more. The world is big, but not so big that you're annoyed when you have to run from one clan's city to another.
Key of Heaven (Kingdom of paradise (US)) joins the ranks of a small amount by being a psp-only release which makes it more enjoyable also, (if only sentimentally), knowing that this is the only way you can play it.
Overall it's a cool game, with great graphics, tho it suffers from a few flaws which make the game a little harder to play unless you put in the background effort of knowing how to play (by reading the manual). This extra effort is worth it however, and i would reccomend the game to anyone in the mood for an action RPG which isn't all hack-and-slash, or all-thought: to someone who wants to kick ass in a cross between the ancient easts of china and japan, by killing bandits with your inherited sword of legend, or killing dragons and gods with your built-up chi-arts by harnessing the elements.

Was dissapointed at first but once I got settled in found it completely addictive and excellent! Many many hours of exciting gameplay with unlockable chi arts attacks. I was up till 3am everynight for a fortnight trying to clock this game and levelling up. Definately worth the $80, you wont be able to put this one down. Check it out!
