GTA - LCS \ GTA : Cheat Device

SOMEONE RESPOND ASAP PLEASE

I've found this forum very helpful into troubleshooting to try and get the Cheatdevice10Us version to work on my psp but the problem is when i:
1. Download CD10US.zip
2. Extract directly from website to PSP Drive (/:K)
3. Made sure the SAVEDATA folder and its C.D. components are in the right place
4. Turn on GTA LCS
5. Cheat Device loads first

When i hold L1 and press Up on D-Pad its doesnt work. I tried holding l1 and pressing up on analog still no cigar, the version i downloaded is correct and everything is in place.

My PSP version is exactly FW 2.60, I'm thinking maybe I need another program in order for the Cheat Device to work, but I've been looking everywhere and I have found no Evidence.

PS-Also When i input CHEATS folder with the cheat.txt into the Root folder where the MP_ROOT and PSP Folder is, it still doesnt not work

I'm going to Flordia tommorrow on vaca and it'd be great if someone could help me out before I leave in the morning, I'd glady apreciate it!

is this true because i bought it 2 days ago taht it might be a patched version so it doesnt work.....uhhhhh damn game developers, always taking the fun out of the product. =O

third: i just realised that you live in NY so that answers #2 (we don't get many members from overseas [well that i know of])

forth: make sure that you have the latest cheatdevice <download it here!>

fifth: (with your psp connected to your computer) 'unzip' the zip file and find the folder 'ULUS10041S0'. Copy and Paste this into (k/g/etc:)/psp/SAVEDATA/(file here). disconnect your psp. Start up LCS. Load the cheat device.

i assume that you know how to use it so i wont go into that.

lol thanks for the generous welcoming, I researched at gtaportable.com and they told me my version of gta lcs was probably patched since i jsut bought it 2 days ago, and it made sense because i had to upgrade to 2.6 in order to play gta lcs

PS- IF ITS POSSIBLE INSTEAD OF MY PSP BEING POSSIBLY BRICKED can i just wait til the cheat device will override the patch or you think it wont happen?

damn, i didn't even know they patched them, oh well, i took my chances and upgraded to FW 2.71 so i lost cheatdevice, i've actually started playing San Andreas on the good-not-so-old-PS2, theres plently of button cheats for that.

You should probably take the step up and upgrade to 2.7/2.71 and download the Loco Roco demo too!

i found this site before i bought liberty city and after seeing cheatsync.net and others, and i found out you can mod the game through memory stick transacations i bought it in hope of increasing LCS to its full potential! =)

excon, i'm experiencing the same problem you are having.i downloaded the us version and unzipped it into my save data folder.When i load LCS,it opened my second slot first, so i load the cheat device. when its loaded,it did not load.its the same problem as yours, so if anyone could give me any help please post,btw i bought it a month ago and it has got the 2.6 update,so is it patched?

ok....i figured it out just now,i'll just put in the version 2.0 disk to use cheat device.it worked.

well it worked for me, my psp is 2.6,when i tried using lcs disk with 2.0 upgrade, it worked! i load the cheat device and it worked!

dat is because u hav version 2.6. cheatdevice works with versions 2.6 and below.

dude,when i used the 2.6 disk,it did not load,ok? when i used the2.0 disk ,it work,alrite?btw,it works on 2.6 yes but the cheat menu doesn't show when i pressed L+up,so it's practically another save file on my memory card.and it would be so kind read the post above my second post
