Ive always been into gameboys - never not had the latest one theyve bought out (oh except the micro because I think thats a downgrade from the DS lol) But I had a gamecube for a whole 2 weeks before selling it and never owned any other console from Nintendo besides the Gameboy and DS - I think I will wait to see how much it takes off and if its going to be about $500, I will be waiting for a HUGE price drop lol
Im pretty much over consoles that arent portable now though I think. Havent touched a PS2 for abt a yr.

Just in my opinion, the wii is a mistake. I say Nintendo should just cut their losses and sell out to Sony. That way PSP will bring in bigger titles like resident evil and metroid. Thats what we're all about anyway right PSP. Well I'll hand it to Nintendo, this WILL be the cheapest console therfore bringing in us poor gammers. As for 500$ I don't think so, it should be cheaper than Xbox 360.
