man i almost cryed when i brought this game finally they
made a psp version and totally rocks toasted children
in the first five mins,freaky monsters everywhere,
a mental buchter and heaps of different melee weapons
could of had more guns and ammo but proberly the maddest game i own
so far no all i need is for a resident evil game to come out and
then were talking

trust me go out and get this game u won't be sorry...

i reckon the breaking weapons/being able to throw toasters at monsters to be pretty cool.. though i must say i got sick of chucking stuff at the roadkills, and finished the game with a crazy amount of toasters, tvs, bottles, needles etc.. i really use the guns and special weapons too much.. lol

There were a lot of times I jumped while playing it. lol
Although it was annoying how the weapons break after too much use. But the good thing is you find plenty of weapons in the course of the game, so it doesn't really matter.

As for the monsters, I was hoping for more variety. Some of them were from the other games (well, two at least).

I recommend the game to anyone who wants a good scare.

you have to finish the game with certain criteria met, you can check what ones you have by going select->options->accolades (or extra for torchs).
For the unlimited rifle you need to finish with the ufo ending, etc.
ill post a list of the 14 accolades/requirements if you want it.

You can definitely run in it. You have to use energy drinks to run once you get worn out though, or rest.

I take it this is your first Silent Hill game? The movement is no more limited than the others. It isn't a free roaming world like GTA. It is more of an interactive movie.

It is super creepy. My first impressions:
- The first transition to the otherside is so well done. Very impressive.
- The combat system to me is vastly improved over the old ones. Even the fist fighting is effective and feels natural. Also grappling if you get caught is good.
- Story is pretty good so far.
- Nice graphics
- Great with headphones
- The video output for it is only 272 line (apparently developers can now choose to support 480 line output for the PSP, so I keep checking new games I get to see if they do - people never report on this in reviews)

I can see this one growing on me.

this game was amazing. story line gameplay, definetly a scare. the only problem that i had was it was very short. beat it just a little over 4 hrs. and coming from Konami you would of expected more from there brilliance of Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops. but it is still a must for any major Silent Hill fans
