Social \ any one with a tom tom gps unit?

G'day Im updating my tomtom go 500 , which ive had for ages , but never updated the maps before, and now i found i can buy the maps for UK , England etc, of the tom tom site, just wondering if any one here has one, also what sized memory card i should use the os one is 128, but if you want other maps i gather you would need more room..
also do these download to your pc (after purchacing maps) then transfer to memory card for the gps? :scratch:
any ideas
