Hi

Looking for a PSP 2002 Slim with CFW/or the ability to put CFW on it, looking to pay around $230, looking to buy it for a nephew, so would prefer something in good condition.

Appreciate any PSPs offered.

PS : Silver one would be nice

Hey Freddy.
An idea is to buy a second hand PSP from EB games or from Cashies. And head over to this site: www.dealextreme.com/ the battery you see is around $14. You also need a memory stick size with at lease 256MB and a max 4gig.

Basically With this battery and a memory stick (which needs something done to it) you can enter it *PSP* into recovery mode, then with the files on the stick, you be able to turn your PSP to custom firmware.

check here to see what you need to do, to create the memory stick to turn the PSP into CFW www.dcemu.co.uk/

Oh and a tip here. DONT GET THE PSP3000 because they haven't been cracked. The "Pandora" Method only works for the PSP1000 and the PSP2000 model. Just ask to see where you can tell what model it is.

On the item description it says its a PSP-2001?

So what are the bad points of getting a USA region?

And does it affect my chance of getting CFW on it?

Well the main problem with a NTSC region (USA) PSP is that you can't play PAL UMD's. You can only play that preific region's UMD's (in this case NTSC) But it shouldn't affect your CFW problems as far as I can see.

the chance of getting cfw is pretty high unless its one of those newer models of the 2000 or a psp3000. the chance of getting cfw is not affected by region i doubt it, but i think the US had more psp models so might be a those TA 88v3
