The PSPgo has flopped during its first week on sale in Australia. GfK figures show that the PSPgo sold less than 1000 units during its first week on sale according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
For those of you not in the know that’s terrible. Sony Computer Entertainment Australia boss, Michael Ephraim, differed in opinion slightly, saying that the PSPgo sold “slightly over 1000″ units during its first week. Even if that’s true, it’s still awful.
Sony increased the price of the revised model from $280 up to $450, despite the fact that it plays the same games. The major revision is the removal of the UMD slot, as games are now download only. This led to Australia's largest game retailer, EB Games, refusing the stock the console. Considering, it's hardly surprising it's not selling.
