I cant believe its that cheap I had heard it was closer to $1000!
I would never buy a phone outright unless I sold one of similar value first. The N80 rrp at optus is almost $1000 but I am paying $20/month for 24 months meaning I will get it for $480. I only have to stay connected for 12 months to get it at that price and if I leave after that or want to upgrade I only have to pay the remaining 20/month x 12 months. Works out much better than $1000 considering I have an account with them anyways.

Yes it does seem that way, but considering its 2.5GB and will act as my ipod, PSP (videos), and replace my current phone I can justify paying that much.

Yeah thats true if you want all the new technologies. Phones are so frustrating, they lose their value SO quickly! And theres no real way around it.

I upgrade SO often that I always get $500-$700 on ebay for them lol But Im going to try stick with this one at least for the 12 months then I can upgrade and pay the $240 remaining. Ill then pay another off the same way. Works well

Im stressin about what phone to get lol. Im the worst when it comes to waiting to buy something, I must get it straight away! Which explains why I got my PSP and DS on release.

The phones got 3G which looks promising, im with Telstra and they have i-mode which is 3G, anyone use it?

hey sorry for the late reply man, been shopping n stuff. well as Jaime said, the n80 is great and blows the w900 away hands down! i love the design, the HUGE screen and very sturdy build. has a very large memory capacity with expandable memory (although it isn't Memory stick pro duo, it can still expand to very high capacity -- 2GB+) plays mp3s and u wanted mp4s (i'm guessing mp4 videos).. i dont remember if it records in 3gp or mp4 format, but i think either way... it can be tweaked to whichever you prefer.. if you have the money to spend on the n80 (slightly more than w900) then i would go for the n80 without hesitation! i was going to get it but i needed to get a new phone so i couldn't wait for the n80 and had to settle for the d600.. but i'm still happy with my phone, no complaints whatsoever!

Wow, the n80 is pretty sweet. I cant belive the screen is bigger! It also has FM and supports SD cards, which I dont have (damn) but is about $100 more...

ARGH..! too much choice, I think im going to let it rest a week and see what happends.

Its not really that, its just all the phones im looking at cost so much. And as soon as I convince my self to buy one I read something or im told something then everhthing goes into dissarray again, notabley the mention of this n80.

You can get mini SD cards from ebay cheap. I just bought 1gb for $32 incl post and some of the 2gb ones were going for around $60-70.
These seem to go cheaper than other cards. I paid about $40 for a 512 RS MMC card for my last phone.

i say all you need to do mate, is search around cnet reviews or mobile phone searches and just enter the things u want in a phone...and do a bit of research...then one u have identified one or even a few...look on ebay for them or even use www.shopbot.com.au to see which store or online site is selling them for the cheapest

EDIT: btw, i still havent purchased this phone as im just checking out the new stock incase theres someting better coming out....so huey, with your phone exelence...perhaps do u know of anyphones that are under $250 and offer all the above features??
