look where it goes in to ur comp (the cord, that goes into ur comp) see if it goes into your motherboard or a sound card. (if its in your mobo it will be where ur mouse and kb is etc.)

if its sound card find out wat type it is and get drivers for it (the system software).
if its mobo get your mobo drivers and install them. if all else fails re-install windows.
