for this, you need a dual layered blank dvd which costs more than a normal 4 gig DVD

other than that, you can use DVD Shrink to make the movie smaller.

just get rid of the parts you dont "need" and keep only the actual movie

However in this case i would recommend using dvd shrink as you can "shrink" the dvd to the size a single layer dvd(4.7gb, what you have) and there is practically no loss in quality if you rip outs thing you dont need for example(subtitles, extras)
