How to get Final Fantasy IX PAL onto your PSP

Final Fantasy IX PAL (ALL VERSIONS - e.g. Australian, UK, African, etc)

~THIS IS FOR DARK_ALEX CUSTOM FIRMWARE! (I DID THIS ON MY 3.03 OE-C)~

(THIS GUIDE WILL NOT TELL YOU HOW TO GET CUSTOM FIRMWARE, DOWNGRADE, OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT! AND THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ILLEGAL STUFF BECAUSE I HAVE THE REAL FINAL FANTASY IX!)

RULES OF USE:
1. DONT WINGE IF YOU STILL CANT GET THIS TO WORK
2. DONT EDIT THIS GUIDE WITHOUT MY PERMISSION
3. FEEL FREE TO GIVE THIS GUIDE TO OTHERS BUT DO NOT MAKE THEM GIVE YOU ANYTHING FOR IT

You will need to download: *at your own risk*

CDRWIN (you will need to scroll down and fill out "Name" and "Email Address"- GoldenHawk CDRWIN

Final Fantasy 9 Protection Fix (this one has a +13 Trainer and a PAL/NTSC Selector but you don't have to turn on the trainer and you can use either PAL/NTSC Selector using X and O on your PSP) - MegaGames PSX

PPF-O-MATIC (A patching program for PSX games. Will need for the Final Fantasy 9 Protection Fix) - MegaGames PPF Convert

PSX2PSP - To convert the patched files into a file for PSP so you can play the game - qj.net PSX2PSP

1. Install CDRWIN
2. Rip your CD
3. Look for the files you just ripped. (1 .bin and 1 .cue)
4. Move those files to somewhere on the desktop (e.g. CDRWIN FF9 RIP) so its easier.
5. Extract the files from the hlg-ff9!.zip file into a folder called PATCH inside the CDRWIN FF9 RIP folder
6. Extract pdx-ppf3.zip into a folder called PATCHER inside the CDRWIN FF9 RIP folder.
7. Extract the PSX2PSP popstation gui.zip folder to a folder called PSX2PSP popstation GUI.
8. Open the PATCHER folder and go in ppfgui/WINDOWS/PPF-O-MATIC3/ and double-click on ppf-o-matic3.exe
9. Click on the disk next to the "ISO File", next to the white box and select the .bin you ripped. (I'll use FFIX1.bin)
10. Click on the disk next to the "Patch", next to the white box and select the .ppf file inside the PATCH folder. (The patches are numbered and in order of CD - e.g. HLG-FF91.PPF = first disk, HLG-FF92.PPF = second disk, HLG-FF93.PPF = third disk, HLG-FF94.PPF = fourth disk)
11. Once you have selected the .bin file and the .ppf file, click on Apply and you have successfully patched the .bin file.
12. Now that you have patched it, go in the folder called PSX2PSP popstation GUI and double-click on PSX2PSP.exe
13. Once you launch it, choose Theme mode and click OK.
14. Once you are in, choose Convert menu
15. Next to the white box below where it says "ISO/PBP File:", there is a button with "...". Click it and find the .bin that was patched.
16. Now, next to the white box below where it says "Output PBP folder:", make a new folder on the desktop and name it Final Fantasy IX PSP
17. DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS! THAT IS ALL YOU NEED TO DO! Once you have chosen the ISO/PBP File (which is really a BIN file for us =P) and the Output PBP folder:, click the button that says "Convert"
18. Wait for it to finish and then Copy or Move the folder inside the Final Fantasy IX PSP folder that is on your desktop to your psp in the folder X:/PSP/GAME/ so that it looks like X:/PSP/GAME/(WHATEVER THE FOLDER NAME IS)/eboot.pbp
19. Now, launch the game

PROBLEMS WITH THIS!

1. The screen is too low (it's still playable and good because it has about millimeter cut off). I don't know how to fix this. Will add how to fix screen in future.
2. Slows down the tinniest bit (by tinniest, I mean not much of a slow down at all)
