For over a year there have been many rumours of a built in GPS, duel analogue sticks and 8gb of built in memory however the new PSP will not contain anything of the such.

So from now onwards, no making separate threads asking how much the new PSP will cost or when it's coming out or what firmware will be on it as all talk should be directed by responsible members to right here, all in the interest of keeping this site clean of course.

The new PSP will be able to output video to any TV but to play games on TV from your PSP you need component cables and a TV that has component ports.

Oh and the new PSPs run at a higher firmware. When shown at E3 it was on 3.60. It could be even higher by the time its released.

oh speaking of memory cards, ie on ebay, are they all legit? I havent seen any 8 gig ones yet but seen pleanty of 4 gig ones for around $30-40 US..

u should still be able to use ur batteries (which is useful cause when ur not near a charger put an extra 1 in. i never thought of that, i always just used the 1 battery)

them memory sticks will still work in the PSP2 or whatever it is called

and on ebay be careful and look at the sellers feedback. some of the momory sticks are real, some are fake but still work fine and some don't work at all. but good luck with that

the newer psp definately stands out in features but not colours. people get mixed up sometimes because the "piano black" looks like the "black" psp. they should have changed the look a bit, not just moving those ugly 2 holes at the top of the screen
