Before you can use your PSP's memory card you must format it.
To do this:
1. Make sure the memory card is correctly in the PSP.
2. Turn your PSP on and navigate to; Settings > System Settings > Format Memory Stick. Press "X".
3. A Warning Sign will appear asking "Do you want to format the memory stickTM?" Select "Yes".
4. A Secondary Warning Will appear saying: "All data on the Memory StickTM will be deleted.
Are you sure you want to continue?"
Again select "Yes"
5. Your memory stick has now been formatted.
To move files onto the PSP's memory card:
1. Connect PSP to computer (Via USB, Memory card read etc.)
2. Allow Windows to recognise the device.
3. Go to:
My Computer > X:\\ (Where X is the drive of you PSP)
Your there, This is known as the root of your PSP's memory card. Now drop all the files into the respective folders using the simple Windows "Drag And Drop" system.
Video file go to the "VIDEO" folder in the root of your memory card.
Music Files go into the "MUSIC" Of your PSP's memory card.
Image Files go into The "PICTURE" folder on the root of the PSP's memory card.
Game Demo's Go into the "PSP" folder of the memory card then the "GAME" folder.
Custom Themes go into the "PSP" folder of the memory card then the "THEMES" folder
Saved game data goes into the "PSP" folder of the memory card and then the "SAVEDATA" folder.
