the karma could be like, if someone likes what you've contributed, click something like "+1 Karma" under there avatar or something

post counts is better. It shows your making a contribution to the site, rather than "Kudos", which is like another way of saying "good boy/girl", "well done!"

OK ok, first and formeost.... wait I don't need to explain myself.... But if you have to know.

When I said Hybrid - I meant we change everything to posts. But the removal of "kudos" which would now be posts, stays the same. As such, spamming the reviews would equal -25 posts. That is what I meant when I said "keep the kudos system of punishment". So that takes care of that point...

Secondly, of course I put in a poll that was a) fun and b) maybe biased. Because the general consensus on this forum is that people, especially the good ones, do not like Kudos. But because they are awesome members, they decide to abide by the rules and stick on - without recognition for thier hard work. And I am all about giving credit where credit is due. Cham, buddy, if you do want to "hit" me, I inivite you too. If I am meant to get hit for what I believe is right, then so be it. But by law I have to warn you three times... warning * 3 - self defence is going to be awesome.

IAC, you would have taken over but in a much longer time period.

But what I think we may find is still those who seem to find joy in their Kudos amount will probably spam more with the post count method and you don't really have a way to take a large chink out of that like the way you can with Kudos.

-25 for a spammed review will be equal to just -1 post wouldn't it? I for one didn't agree with Kudos at first but eventually found that it can help us see if a member is resourceful or not. Those who do break the rules lots will show in the negatives and through that we can see what a problem they have caused.

Ultimately isn't it the admins choice in the end what we use? It doesn't bother me whatever the outcome is but I think we should probably keep to the Kudos for a while longer.

In a way I feel like Kudos is encouraging some people to post whenever they can to get those points right up but also it can be used as a punishment system to teach a lesson to those who do not post correctly. People would be spamming also to get their post count as high as possible and there isn't really a way to punish them other then by deleting their post or placing a ban on them. A mix of both however, that could work. I won't really vote on this because I can not make up my mind about how I would settle on this.
