no, dont got to official firmware, what you have is just the update, you need the actual 3.71 m33 firmware before you can install the 3.71 m33-2. the actual 3.71 m33 firmware can be found here:

Official firmware can also brick a PSP... And custom firmware is pretty much everything the official firmware is with some useful/cool/convenient/new features as well. Screenshots, homebrew and the ability to make ur psp run at full speed to name a few
