I got Austar, and they are almost identical, except with Foxtel, they have more 'Press the red button'options, where as Sky News, is the only 'PTRB' channel that Austar has.

Also, Foxtel have TIVO (a video recorder with a HDD), it also lets you pause you TV shows, and continue to watch them later.

< It spools your TV show on the HDD, when u press pause the movie continues to be stored on the Hard Drive, until you come back, then it streams the content that was stored when you originally pressed the pause button >

Foxtel is defineately better than Austar if TIVO is what you want, but aside from that, they are the same.

Also iQ plugs into 2 cable plugs, so it actually allows you to watch one Foxtel channel and record another one at the same time, also has a few good features (like series link which allows you to tape all the episodes of one series (without repeats) with just one buton click.... quite good)

SB, thats not neccessarily always the case i've got Austar and i know like 10 people that live within 2km of me that have Foxtel
