News \ Details On The PSP 3000 & Release Date

Sony has officially released more information regarding the PSP 300.

It will have a new LCD Screen as having "a wider color gamut and higher contrast ratio to deliver deeper, more vibrant colors, as well as anti-reflection technology so you can see the screen more clearly when playing outdoors." according to Sony.

The ring on the back of the PSP will also be smaller.

It will be available in October this year in America for a price of $169.99US in a stand a lone core pack.

Because sony have finally figured a way to make psp's unpandorable so I guess it will be in every model they release from now on...maybe they've been holding back the release of the psp 3000 until they found something that works against pandora.

I don't think I'm gonna bother with a psp 3000 unless I hear news that dax is attempting to hack it or has found some sort of exploit to downgrade it.

im hoping this is un-pandorable!

Sure it would mean less sales of the 3000, and secondhand 2000 prices rise. But in the long run, it will mean the psp start to recieve some top notch rpgs and online/infrastructure games (with the mic addition).. even just some more developers keen for psp!
maybe psn integration will come too, now theres a secure model available!

Dont know if its true or not but ign.com have stated that the tv out function has also been upgraded to make it compatibale with older tv's when playing games. Meaning you no longer will need a progessive scan capable tv to play games on.
