Yo huey, wassup? anny idea how big these are? are the cups ear-sized, or frickin' huge or wat? Cause i need some new headphones, and the link JK put up is nice'n cheap too...

@Jediknight: yep those are the ones but i'm getting them from a different seller (located in AUS)

@Egos: i'm not quite sure on the size but considering as they're suited at DJ use, they'd be quite big but i dont mind. i read alot of reviews saying that they're good but i wanted some more feedback so thats why i'm askin' people on this site. I already ordered mine, should receive them by Wednesday at the latest, will give a review on them as soon as i get them.

@stonecold: thanks for the reply, i've been hearing mixed things about the japanese version. some say that its a cheap mock-up of the v700s but they're on the sony japan site so i dont know why people are sayin that the Z700s are all fake copies of the V700s.. build-wise, alot are saying that V700 uses stronger and sturdier components/materials so yeah, we shall soon see how my Z700's hold up

@ stonecold- how do they compare to sennheiser's lower range (i got the HD 457 sennheiser) in sound & (especially 4 me) size-- are they bulky? do the sound insulators fit on the ears, or enclose them and half your head?

Egos I dont know how they compare to the sennheiser's, but my brother has the(HD477) and their no way as good as the Sony V700. Its not bulky fits perfectly
on the ears.

Just a word of warning from someone who has purchased the Z700DJ's, be careful of fakes. I bought one quite cheap off ebay and the second I took it out of the box, I knew they straight away they were fake. I took them to 2 local Sony authorised store the next day, and they both said these headphones were fake. Sound was pathetic and tinny, and while they look great in photos, the feel and construction is poor when you're holding and wearing them.

I messaged the seller and questioned authenticity and he straight away offered a refund, no questions asked.

I bought these instead, apparently there's a shortage of these in Japan atm:

Yeah, I managed to get the last pair off a Japanese ebayer.

Btw, I did eventually get a pair of real V700DJ's (non Japanese version), and the differences between the fakes and real are (obviously) immense and I wear the 700's at home. The EX90SL's are what I'll be wearing while I'm on the train to and from work/class, replacing my EX71SL's.

Yeah, the large closed headphones sound better, but I prefer the inserts when I'm out and about.

yeh, that's fair enough- they do get too bulky- that's why u need a couple'a headphones-- to fit any situation

eg: 'today i'm in the mood for ear-lob penetration, even tho yesterday i was in the mood for massive rockin' rocks' etc. etc.

Yeah, he's definitely sells authentic Sony stuff, I'd pay that $200 knowing it's authentic and cheaper than local RRP. Like the same way I'd rather pay $180 for a Sandisk 2GB Gaming MS than $150 for a Sony 2GB because there's a chance the Sony is fake.

hey yeah the guy i got them from is 'kirekun', and he has REAL photos of what you're getting. i know for sure these aren't fake (the ones he's selling) because:-

1. fake ones have a shorter plug and dont have 'sony' branded on the side of them
2. fake ones usually do not come with carry pouch
3. the box of the fake ones are either really crap or dont come boxed at all
4. the cord of a fake is alot crappier in terms of quality
5. fakes dont come with manufacturers warranty
