It is fantastic! I got it mainly because the camera is just awesome and its smaller than my sony camera and I always have it with be because its my phone too. I have just spent some time taking pics of things in my aquarium, the auto focus is great, its clear and really good. Video is great too. I already had a 512mb memory card so I have heaps of room (might get a 1gb one soon but will see) I got it because i threatened to leave Optus lol. I was still paying off a V3 that broke (19 months left of the contract) and they said theyll pay half my repayments (which were $18 - they pay $10 I pay $8 a month) and theyll give me a new phone... so I chose the N90 lol. I originally rang to get the final bill and pay it off to get rid of it but when they offered me a phone I stayed.

i think the reason jaime got the n90 for free was because he is on a plan; i got my d600 for free cos i'm on a plan. most plans these days offer you the phone for free (no handset repayments, just a monthly contractual fee for service). i reckon the n91 is fugly, but the phone itself is alright. i wanted to get an n80 but i was in the same boat as jaime, pick the phone there and then or pay for it later. plus, my other phone was busted so needed a new phone there and then.

When I called they said Im not on a contract I can leave when I want I just have to pay the rest of the old handset off. I said thats fine and thats when they talked me into staying by offering to halve the cost of my phone repayments and give me a new phone. So I pay $5 a month for the plan and $8 a month for the phone I dont have. Im not on a contract though and have no handset repayments for the N90. (The N90 has quite large repayments though.. for my $5 plan it would have been $47 a month had I gone into an Optus shop and set it up that way...)

if you need a good camera on the phone the n80 boasts 3MP and is in the 'top camera phones' category on GSMARENA.COM. they do really good reviews on phones, if you need any more information / advice, i'd recommend that site.

Yeh it is more MP 3 instead of 2 but the Carl Zeiss lense on the N90 makes the images just as crisp as the 3mp ones. There really isnt much difference. The N90 is more of an imaging phone where as the N80 is more of an entertainment phone (ie has the camera, wifi etc) I just think the N80 is a little overpriced, more so than usual. The rrp is over $1000!

Well the quality of my pics is alot better than my N70 and theyre both 2MP lol... the difference between 2 & 3 MP is virtually nil also. I found this out when I upgraded my camera from 3MP to 4MP..

yeah, after 2mp there really is no difference apart from the maximum resolution that the camera can achieve. altough, the step from 1mp to 2mp is HUGE. take the d500 and d600 for example; the d500's camera quality was utter rubbish, and now the d600's is pure and good quality (apart from macro mode shots)

as you just said, you personally go for looks. other people 'personally' go for features so in that case it is not a waste of space in memory; to add to that point, alot of phones nowadays come with 50MB+ of storage capacity, with many adding transflash/microSD, memory stick pro duo/micro, SD, Micro-SD etc.

i myself go for looks and functionality, although my main priority is calls and SMS with the quality of calls being the most important; i dont like lugging around extra stuff like PDAs, note pads, callenders, organisers, cameras etc in addition to my phone. if my phone can do all that and i can put it all into my pocket, saves me extra storage space in my pockets/bags.
