hey dudes i was studying this in uni last year.. there are basically 2 views to this.. there is the deterministic view and the instrumentalist view. The deterministic view is that technology is under our control and we maek things and errors are our faults. the instrumentalist view is that technology controls us. with the instrumentalists there' are usually technophobes and technophiles.. technophiles usually say that tho technology controls us, it is for an definitive cause and technology controlling us is a good thing where as with the technophobes they fear technology will out do us.

btw by control i mean eg. say we make a software that monitors security and then someone bypassed it.. it causes losses to us and we ahve to fix the software bugs.
etc.. hope this helps
