Hello Everyone,

im currently looking ino buying a new computer system ( Just the tower and nothing else) any way im looking for a really goof NEW tower for gaming on games that are high performance like oblivion and such. so does anyone know of any places that sell cheap gameing computer that also burn dvds and that kinda thing.

PS: $1000.00 or less, no more

I am a kickass PC gamer and I know where to get the cheapest kit.
Here is some advice that comes with experience:
1. Don't buy from ebay or any other online auction for that matter.
2. Try to buy from shops if possible
3. Computer fairs are good if you want to assemble yourself, though don't buy something pre made! and PAY WITH CASH you get charged more for eftpos/credit card like 3-10%
4. For individual parts search www.staticice.com.au

5. THIS IS THE BIG ONE -- www.msy.com.au/
Honest to god the cheapest place to get PC parts and Pre built machines is : www.msy.com.au/ the site doesn't look flash and neither does their physical stores (all throughout Australia) but THEY HAVE THE CHEAPEST AROUND with a decent warranty too (no I don't work there).

PS:
the --MINIMUM-- required specs for oblivion are:
-windows XP
-512MB of RAM
-2Ghz processor
-a DVD drive
-a Direct X 9 videocard with at least 128 MB of RAM
the supported Videocards are:
ATI- 9500+
Nvidia(these ar better) GeForce 6000/7000+ series and the GeForce FX series

Oh and Oblivion is awesome

Do not be afraid to buy a Direct X 10 Videocard- it is good future proofing

Yeah that one is OK- just OK, no no offence to anyone but that is worth around 700 not 900 and you could get a core 2 duo thing for that much.
