Cause i wanna buy this router/modem on ebay but its adsl 2 and i only have normal adsl.

Also if i buy a usb to ethernet port adaptor on ebay can i plug a ethernet modem into it and will it work properly like a normal ethernet port??

should work either way.. adsl2 modems work with adsl1, and adsl1 modems work with adsl2.. but in regards to adsl2 using adsl1 modems, you can only get a max of 8Mbps.. but in your case seeing as you're using an adsl2 modem on adsl1, it wouldn't matter.
