One of the biggest contradictions i've seen, i was watching Channel V or something. Ads came on. An ad for The Fray came on, it advertised The Fray's albums as: 'The Most EMOTIVE Album of the Year'. Now, doesn't that just scream out Emo? Yet has anyone EVER referred to them as emo?

Kind of stupid, everything gets mucked up in stereotypes these days.

I will never understand why those kids go label themselves, thinking they are rebelling, all they are doing is joining a cult.

They were NOT EMO!!!!!

I went to school with one of them, im mates with half of her top friends on myspace. She wasnt emo, the other one was partially GOTH, NOT EMO! Don't believe what you see on television, total and utter bull5hit.

The morning after they were found, i was listening to the radio (at this time, i wasn't sure if i'd had anything to do with them or not, but knew it was close by), Neil Mitchell, well known down here in Melbourne. He reported, after reading her MySpace, that she listened to "Lamb of God" and this music may have something to do with it (they are Death Metal, not in any way EMO). Anyway, that night, someone passed on her myspace url to me, i wasn't going to look. Then i did. Then i noticed 2 mates in her top friends, and recognised others. Then looked through her Music list. It was populated BY: Nelly, Snoop Dog, Nelly Furtado, Black Eyed Peas .. all this rap stuff. Then on one line out of 40 or so, it had Lamb of God AND Black Sabboth, that was the extent of the Metal. Talk about taken out of proportion.

SO .. had nothing to do with emos.

Maybe if there just one of the silly people only wanting to be emo coz they think its "kool" and then they realise for the first time what a song, by a band who has a reputation for being "emo", actually means then they think it will make them more popular then MAYBE the music can be blamed partially, but if your that not-clever you probably shouldnt be allowed to socialise in the first place.
