well from what i understand this is sony's final game consol in the playstation line so therefore giving the feild to Microsoft. this makes no sense to me as gaming is fast becoming a major player in the technological race. so if they give the feild to microsoft they will in the end be losing alot of money.

IMO - Sony is being stupid... someone along the way decided it would be better to make people wait around the world... BAH!

As microsoft is buying out R*, Sony will have a strong battle.... but with the attention being given to it right now... is absolutely pathetic!

yes i totally agree. sony is driving the market down the drain. even though i love my 360 to death i feel sony has always had the upper hand in the gaming market. if they are to come back from this they really need to harden up and think about ways to put a new gaming experiance, affordable gaming experiance and something different out there that microsoft cant offer

yes unfortunately i think this happened quite a while ago. i think it started to happen when halo 2 was released. (despite how much i dislike halo games some people love them) . i just feel that if they would ditch the blue-ray player and work on gaming and graphics because they have been the major player for so long they have so many loyalty customers. i know for 1 i am because i bought a PS1 in the beginging and if the PS3 wasnt so expensive for not really much else accept the blu-ray player i would buy it. sony listen to me, I DONT WANT A BLUE-RAY PLAYER......I WANT A GAMING CONSOLE

Well, the 23rd of March will decide or the months after it. Plus all the people I know have either played/got one already from overseas... which is annoying as it doesn't add to our statistic... keeping the rest of us in the back of gaming releases....

yeah a world wide release date would be a key thing i would think about. hold off the date until you have enough systems to fund the world and then do an entire release to keep everybody on the same page. it is just irritating to hear comments about things from overseas before you play them youself. and yes Sony fell directly into microsofts trap, the entertainment system. somewhere along the lines they forgot it was about gaming :/

well it is just what i have heard and read about the PS3 but i have owned every other one starting with a Sega so i know quite a bit about them. if we get any new members i will have them put on the first post but no i think you are the newest member still

yeah you wouldnt get much from it but does your mum know how expensive PS3's are. PS2's will be in date for alot longer. they still release games on it and it is still a very good machine.

i strongly suggest ditching the PS3 and getting a 360. so much cheaper and just as good. blue-ray means nothing at this time. we want gaming consols not multimedia players. if in many years blue-ray is a major player then it will be price dropped for retail competition. thats my two cents anyway

R u sure about the PS1? Mines worth 150... but then again... I did do some mods to it.

And the PS2 will be kicking over long after the PS3 is released. Because companies are still releasing awesome games for it. Check out the age newspaper!

all the new games such as GRAW and call of duty 2, 3, are still being released on PS2 and if you ask me it is still a kick arse game console. the only thing is no online play......
