i think u should start with the first one, then go to the second one, and i think the 3rd one is only on PS3, bot shore

um.. personly i would just go to MGS: portable ops becasue i couldnt be botherd to buy the rest, but its ur choice

if you want my advice. break out the old PS1 and play MGS 1 then get mGS 2 and 3 on PS2. MGS 1 is probably the most fun lol but only cause i played it for years. MGS2 is a bit better than 3 if you ask me gameplay wise anyway. MGS: PO is an incredible game but i strongly suggest playing the others before hand

Youre not really speaking from experience tho bobs.

You may love the game but it wont offer the same experience playing them in chronogical release order i guarantee that.

Chronological order means from 1 to 3???

Even tho MPO is set before 1,2 and 3 it is importrant to play 1,2 and 3 to understand the story fully.

Like when they talk about this new bipedal robot and how it differs from the shagohod you will be saying - 'whats a shagohod?" or when the disuss the death of boss you are like 'you was this boss woman?' OR when your first met up with roy campbell you would have had no idea that he was the commander in charge when solid snake took over the mantle from big boss.

i reckon each game i've played yet in the series is unique in its own rite, kinda like GTA with varying themes for each.

MGS/VRm - The one/s that started it all (let's no go pre-PSX here =)
MGS2/Substance - Trippy virtual reality thing wtf%#$!?
MGS3/Subsistence - Ol' skool 60s 'Bond-esque' style espionage action

MGS:PO - Portability that I've yet to experience in the full

Btw, I dun rate AC!D, MGS: Digital Comic or the originals, tho I'm shur they add depth and backstory.
