It was so fun killing Sonic on the Sega Mega Drive...
or avoiding the large animals on the road in Road Rash...
and even killing the Mudokons in Abe's Odyssey on the PSX...
Then I started wondering about the games everyone here used to enjoy, be it on the PSone, Sega or whatever.
So share your fondest memories of you favorite old video games, or even some of your favorite new games.

But the first game that I was introduced to the Sony world of Playstation - Crash Bandicoot 2 and Final Fantasy 8... please do not start with me on how much I love those games... well Crash will always take a second step to FF8... I am trying to collect the figurines... I acutally had someone go over to Japan and get one for me... oh good times.... funny thing is, i have never finished the game... I just somehow choose not to.... because to me they feel like old friends and completing the game is sorta saying goodbye... I don't know.. maybe it is just me?

The Jak series... number 1 was crap for me... i found it pointless but followed it with earnest because crash became crap after 3... and Jak 2 was hard core and I got crushed by the tank in the buidling near the start of the game...no no.. the guy in the helicopter... that was soooooo annoying. And then came number 3... the white abilities... the power of lfight - was just utterly beautiful.... and another game - Beyond Good and Evil... but more on that later.

ROFL... I have so many more good memories that I will add when other people post!

People can say what they want about these ols skool games, i dont care i enjoyed them growning up, but what the kids of today need to relise is that without any of the original games of the 80's there would be nothing great today!!

But going back, one of my first experience with video games was a game called Choplifter for....of all things......a Commodore Vic 20.

I still have that Commodore Vic 20 together with the game in their original boxes. I wouldnt part with them for anything. They put me on the electronic highway.

wow i remember the sega playing a game called 'ALEX', its about some rando kid jumpin round doin stuff and gettin to some checkpoints. i alos remember on super nintendo 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles' and u all no wat dat was about. hmmmmm. oh yer on my windows 98 comp we usda play 'Bio-Menace' and 'Duke-Nucame' or however u spell it. the old days wer good.

And I can't remember what else I had... um it was WWF Raw or something... it had BAM BAM BIGELOW & Brett Hart & yokozuna.... oh I loved that game.. played royale without saving in one day... oh and a game that wasn't so poular - Arc of Time... it caused my passion for games that intrigue.

For me it was old school snes rpg's that really got me hooked on gaming, Breath of Fire and the Secret of Mana series. Oh man golden memories flowing back... Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 5 & 6. Not to mention the awesome fighting game titles Mk Ultimate and Street Fighter Turbo.
Of course the golden age of retro gaming for me (can't believe we've come so far that this is now "retro"), has to be the early days of PS1; titles like FF7 (THE best of all time!! ) and Sreet Fghter Apha. The gaming world has produced so much over the years and there is way too many awesome titles for me to post here but I am thrilled to say that the gaming world has gone from strength to strength, there are so many titles that I am looking forward to that I may just have to re-mortgage the home
