homebrew is unsigned code. to play it you either need a psp with official firmware 1.5 or custom firmware.

there is full bricking and semi bricking.... semi bricking you can recover it with newer firmware and full bricking is when its as usefull as a brick but pandoras battery will fix it... Just buy games all the time any ways... you are 100% safe and it always feels worth it when you finish a game..
