hi.

i just got a psp slim. really wanted one cause of the graphic quality. iv been doing a lil research on the capability of the psp and i came across the whole firmware/ pandora battery /magic mem stcik.

found alot of guides but not 100% sure. seem to get more and more confussed with every guide i see. is it all software or is the any hardware modification? are they diff programs you can use? and any recommandations on how to go about moding?

a pandoras battery for the psp slim puts you on a custom firmware (not official sony firmware) , on official firmware, there is security against peoples applications that they make and homebrew games. the custom firmware doesn't have these, allowing you to do those things. The only problem with this is that you need somebody with custom firmware on a phat(classic) psp to make one. if you have a friend with a fat psp with CFW get them to make it, if not you will get a original psp battery (ebay) and send that and your memory stick to someone (or get them to lend you theirs) to get modified firmware. there is no hardware modification procces involved though, it's all software stuff.

that was the clearest explanation iv read.

problem is i only know 2 ppl with psps and theirs isnt alterd. are you sure a psp slim cant creat a pandora battery?

does anyone know where in brisbane i can get it done (yes iv searchd in the forums) or mayb someone wouldnt mind helping me out??

That doesnt look too hard showbizz... Ull prob have to buy another battery to save resoldering all the time, but good find. Otherwise im sure there are plenty of people here who'd do it for u. A slim battery is about $20 and a big enough mem stick wouldnt be more than $15. Add postage to brisbane and it should only cost someone $40ish + their time
