do games like sim citie societies etc play on profesional?

It handles The Sims 2 season's game fine sim city 5 rush hour
but I'm jus wondering about upgrading the ram from maybe 512 to 1 or maybe go to 2 for memory, would that help the game run smoother?

I have 2 120 gig hard drives , so space isnt a prob at the moment

1gb is fairly noticeable over 512mb, so id go with the ram upgrade, try get 2gb if you can. Next would be the graphics card to change. Just do 1 step at a time.

Why 4gb?

That is mainly only for servers.. 2gb is plenty for gaming..
