Conversation I had with one of the "Deputy Rectors" (wannabe headteachers) in our school, with regards to a similer incident, is as follows:
It starts with me and one of my friends, listening to music in the canteen at break, Headphones in obvious view, the real rector walks passed us looking, keeps walking.
Mr S: "Give me them now" (Signalling to our pockets where our PSP's were kept)
*Friend hands PSP over*
*I start to remove headphones*
Me: "If I give you my PSP, am I going to get it back at the end of the day this time??" (with regards to previous incidents where I have NOT got my PSP returned at the designated times)
Mr S: "My Office now!!" *Shouting*
*Start making my way to his office still listening to music*
In Office:
Mr S: "I know exactly what that was, you were playing to the audience"
Me: "Audience??"
Mr S: "Don't talk back to me, son"
-Son?? WTF??-
Me: "okey, So I'll give you my PSP and I'll get it back at the end of the day, yeah??"
Mr S: "I can't guarantee When you'll get it back"
Me: "But I need to get out of school as early as possible, I've got a docters appointement!"
Mr S: "That your problem, Now give me your audio device"
Me: "Why is it such a problem to listen to music in school anyway??"
*Long lecture on how ME listening to music, has a direct psychological effect on the rest of the school and makes them instantly depressed*
Me: "okey
