Social \ Real Dragonball movie in the mixer

A real life movie based on the cult Cartoon that rocked Aussie shores in the early 2000's and late 90's, is set to hit the big screen - possibly some time late this year.


Piccolo and Goku in action

Starring as a young Goku, most likely as a teenager, will be Justin Chatwin (The Invisible, War of the Worlds). He doesn't really look the part, with lots of argument about whether Goku is Asian or white, well they've gone with a skinny white kid. Hopefully the acting gave him the part.



Piccolo, the ugly green dude, will be played by James Marsters (PS. I Love You, Smallville [tv], Angel [tv]).



It's currently filming, though only those 2 are really concrete confirmations.

I'm not really a fan of DB anymore, but was when i was younger, so i'll keep an eye on this. I'm sure there's still plenty of DB fans out there.

PS. I saw Chatwin in The Invisible, as much as that movie wasn't the best received, i would say it would be one of the best from 2007, he was awesome in it.

Yeah as i said, it's based on Dragonball, the originals. Apparently he's at high school (in the show he never goes to school?) and somohow has to go fight all these Piccolo dudes. How do i know so much about this? I found it while searching for other movies Justin Chatwin has done because he was that good in The Invisible.

I used to like this show way bak but turning it into a movie (with that storyline!) is a bad idea. the effects will look great but having it as a live action will just make DBZ look like crap. have a feeling they will change the hairs because it would look too dodgy. did i mention that the storyline sounded GAY!?
