Well this happened to me a while ago. (dial up) I just called up my service provider and the fixed it up without telling me what was wrong.
Though, I think this rarely happens on broadband.

I don't know if this works but just try unplugging then repluggin in your router. (just trying to help)!

I'never heard of netBT, It sounds like your problem is your firewall settings, make sure all the ports firefox needs are open etc.

Or if you'd prefer, move to a decent browser:

Hmmm, not sure if I can help with this one. But let's try anyway!

Few things... how are you connected to your router? Wireless, or Wired?

Edit: Oh, onto NetBT stuffs already? One minute, reading.

Edit Edit: My first suspicions would have been network connectivity, or DNS issues, given the nature of the problem.

Edit Edit Edit: Right click network connection, and go to repair, to clear NetBT etc.

If NetBT screwed up, it's probably Winsock or TCP stack related.

Take a dose of this > www.snapfiles.com/

...It is XP, right?

But yeah, download and run that, then maybe a restart for good luck.

Glad to hear it worked, rather than say... exploding, and taking out half of Australia. Because I hate it when computers apps do that.

I had that same problem some time last year, after I got bored and fiddled with the network settings in the registry. Shame I didn't find this solution until AFTER I reinstalled the whole OS
