It's the final release now XP is no longer updated except for important updates like hacking exploits.
Installing a hxrr0rd3xpl0it3ed version of SP3 stuffed my PC.
Yes SP1 vista released (exploited, not officially released)

just to make it go faster is silly

If it's making it run faster then it obviously fixed something and must have added a few bonus goodies into it.

I like vista. I just don't like how it doubles the RAM you need to play with pretty much every game.
