That just really made me more confused about getting it or not...

I don't buy on ratings, i buy on opinions...

should try one out yourself. because in the end its YOUR opinion that matters not that of the next man coming. and personally i found the Touch to be more of a gimmick with the contact, wifi and accelerator thingy. mainly because i have all my friends details on my phone and lets be serious for a moment the only reason i would want wifi is for free internet which australia lacks at this moment. and the accelerator which is like said a gimmick. also i find the ipod touch sound quality to be stale and cold.

plus soon they're releasing a new firmwire that will allow you to connect your phone and make and recieve calls from the P2. cause the P2 alreaddy has a mic just no function right now...
plus, I'm waiting to see if they're bringing out a 16gb. cause the songs i like don't go in 8gbs.

It's only like 1.5 though my bro has 12 gb of music on his and its like 2536 songs. i only have 1500 cause i listen to techno and most of the songs are 2-80+ minutes long.
also, the bitrate of my songs are pretty high and i can't be bothered converting the song to a lower bitrate.
