'Men cry not for themselves, but for their comrades' Any player that had played the original Final Fantasy VII would have known about the exploits of Zack and Cloud after escaping Hojo's Lab in Nibleheim, but Crisis Core take that to a whole new level. Set 7 Years before the original game, you play as 2nd class soldier Zack, joining his quest to find answers for ShinRa about a missing first class soldier. as the story progresses you find that there is a more sinister plot about that what things really seem. The combat system is set on the DMW (Digital Mind Wave) and limit breaks, summons and leveling up is all set on random. To use a limit break, the DMW has to go into modulating phase and then align Three pictures of one character to use a limit break based on them, really all it is is like a slot machine that determines you fate. As a Square Enix game, the music is absolutely beautiful. Nobuo Uematsu did a wonderful job guiding the musicians to a great soundtrack. It sounds like Advent Children crossed between Final Fantasy VII, which is the best combination of music they could of had for this game. Old tracks make an appearance as part of the soundtrack and they fit perfectly, even Sephiroth's One winged Angel gets a remake! Graphics - 9/10 Music - 10/10 Game play - 9/10 Altogether, 9/10 A fantastic game but more of gap filler than a full on RPG ZatchD
