I agree with ya Porter, id buy the PS3 if it went down to $400 but not a cent more! Hasnt impressed me just yet.

Not everyone can fork out 800-900 on a console. If they do though then they gotta buy games which would be $100+, maybe an additional controller, subscription to xbox live rip off services etc.

Yeah, you're right, it is my opinion... I don't mind the 360 controller, I just don't like it as much, and my wrists are probably bent into the right shape for the dual shock after all the years of playing, but I do think the analogues are in the perfect spot...

But anyway, I think Sony has made a better decision to stick with their controller then make that new airy fairy one...

As for the price, it's going straight on the interest free card along with all the games I get at the start and then I'll have to worry about finding the money in 12 months

It has a high accuracy/sensitivity 6th sense... ie. wave, twist, rotate the controller and it motion senses it and turns it into movement in a game...

The trigger buttons have more range of motion, so more weight sensitive like the other buttons... and depth of information reception has been increased?? I think that means more fine tuned movements are possible...

There not triggers either, triggers are whats on the 360 controller. And its more weight sensitive because they poke out so much.

And bundy one of the reasons the price will effect the sales at launch for the ps3 is because alot of people dont have the interest free cards etc. Older people that depend on themselves may be able to get them but, for example, most people on this site are around 13-16 and are dependant on parents etc and some may not be able to fork out so much. A $650 console looks so good next to a $990 console wouldnt you say?

Looking at specs side by side, honestly, the consoles are identical, here and there they are a little different. bottom line is sony and microsoft are the most competitive companies when it comes to consoles and they make the best. 990 is not a reasonable price for a console that is in the same league as one that costs 650. So overall the 360 wins and it will be official after the ps3 launch. The only way to test if the ps3 is more succesful than the X360 is to see if the ps3 sells more than 55,000+ copies which is what the 360 sold. And i doubt it will because i dont think many Aussie gamers will fork out a MASSIVE 825 - 990 for a console when most of them have already invested in a next gen console.

Oh, and thanks for pointing out the poll results Joel. Its a pity that there hundreds of them and unless you ask the poll question to every gamer it has little to no relevance.
