Federation Square will host the Qantas Socceroos on Monday May 22 from 1.30pm, led by Coach Guus Hiddink and captain Mark Viduka. With Australia’s entire 2006 FIFA World Cup squad appearing on stage, the afternoon appearance is an unprecedented opportunity for Melbourne to get behind the Qantas Socceroos.
The appearance precedes the Powerade Cup match between the Qantas Socceroos and Greece on Thursday May 25 at the MCG (Kick-off 7.30pm), a crucial game in Australia’s World Cup campaign.
