I went into GW today to get Tetris DS and Metroid Prime (i know they're not PSP games but this applies to you as well). I wanted them to price match Targets price of $49.95 instead of their rip off $69.95.

They said to me they couldnt match Metroid because a) it's a new release and b) it's below their cost (which I'm skeptical about).

I pointed out to them that both these games (as well as their store policy) had a 'games wizards price match GUARANTEE'sticker on it. but this apparently doesnt matter.

the only reason i have gone into games wizards to buy games is because of their 'loyalty' card program. Unfortunately they do not show any loyalty to their customers. This is not the first time that I know they ahve refused to price match, my brother had the same problem with a diff GW store a few months ago where they refused to price match despite all the 'lowest price guarantee' signage on the walls. He went to EB and had no problems.

I just said to the GW people I'll go soemwhere else, walked to EB and they did it without any problems.

I know people on this forum dont always like EB, but I will state that I have NEVER had difficulties in getting EB to price match games.

I feel sucked in by GW advertising and I will not be going to GW anymore and they can shove their loyalty card program up their arse.

by the way another excuse they had for refusing to price match some agmes was because they claimed that other stores never got them in stock and just put them into their catclogue to get people to come into their store.

i think it was dse had a mouse that mega mart or somewhere had dirt cheap (logitech 2 button scroll wheel wireless) and they price matched even tho it was below cos price.
