What's that supposed to mean?

I think all of us Melbournite's were going for QLD, plain and simply becoz all Melbournians hate Sydneyers and all sydneyers hate melbournites, ??. *confused*

I was happy QLD won, a fitting person to score winning try!! I thought hte Storm players delivered again, god the Storm rule!!

Yup thats it! Damn Sydney siders! ARGH!

Was there anything good on sale Huey? My folks are going there tomorrow arvo, i might get them to pick me up something.

06 Jul 2006 - 17:38 Melbourne

IAMColonel says:

It's probably like a makeup sale or something?

How are the Brotherhood going on this fine night, i'm quite happy as i'm sick so i don't have to go to training, YAY!

06 Jul 2006 - 18:11 Melbourne - Nbo says:when i git my psss im going to have a nice car an have sex in it

untoldlegend says:

Yeah I think it was pretty obvious most of you guys were going for us! If you watched the game half the time the crowd was just cheering 'QUEEEEEEEENSSLANDER, QUEEEEEEEENSSLANDER'.

06 Jul 2006 - 18:30 Brisbane, Queensland

IAMColonel says:

yeh but that could be because there were more that travelled down...

did u think it was good having the decider down here, i think it is probably fairer for both sides.

06 Jul 2006 - 18:33 Melbourne - Nbo says:when i git my psss im going to have a nice car an have sex in it

nickop says:

Its good having the decider down here, it does make it fair even though us Victorians hate NSW. Oh I just finished watching Hostel! BWHAHAHA what a funny movie, nothing too violent in to.

I cant see how people could do that to other human beings!

06 Jul 2006 - 18:41 Melbourne

untoldlegend says:

Nah, pretty damn useless idea I think, two games in one state and one in the other and then the next year two games who only got 1 the year before and 1 for the team who got 2. Thats the way it pretty much always has been and it is the way it should continue to be like that.... I am glad that the stadium was packed out though.

06 Jul 2006 - 18:41 Brisbane, Queensland

IAMColonel says:

well you'll get that down here....we are the sporting capital of the WORLD!!

06 Jul 2006 - 18:43 Melbourne - Nbo says:when i git my psss im going to have a nice car an have sex in it

nickop says:

Yep you said it IAMC! We are the sporting capital of the world for sure, nothing beats Melbourne! We'll adopt any sport and love it!

Any of you guys seen Hostel? What did you think of it? I found it seriously dissapointing Not that graphic and bearly any suspense.

06 Jul 2006 - 18:55 Melbourne

eversuns says:

Have to agree with nickop there! Not a great movie

06 Jul 2006 - 19:14 Moo Moo Farm

nickop says:

It got so talked up about how scarey it was and how it makes you feel ill, all i was feeling was the topless chicks!

06 Jul 2006 - 19:15 Melbourne

Drexl says:

Never seen Hostel because i've heard it's crap, i'd have to agree that it's very over-rated and also not very subtle. Movies like Hostel etc. don't do very much for me, i find them humourous yet also dull. Maybe that's because i'm the type of guy that sometimes likes to look at sites like rotten.com and ogrish.com when i am bored.

For some reason i see humour in a dead person, ie. i'd think things like 'well he won't be doing that again' after a guy has been shot dead by US Marines in Iraq.
I'm also the type of guy that when i want to watch some funny movies i'll watch Full Metal Jacket and Silence of the Lambs (two of my favourite movies).

nickop says:

Hahahaha...ogrish is funny as! I watched the Faces of Death Movie and now am totally immune to anything that is suppose to be terrifying! You really lose that fear when watching something bad, i luv to scare myself but now it doesnt happen much

06 Jul 2006 - 20:03 Melbourne

Drexl says:

Lol nickop, yeah I’m pretty much the same. Although I do feel nervous around old people and they sort of scare me, I think I wrote in some thread the reason why I was uncomfortable around old people but any way I’ll tell you again.

It was last year and everyone in my year at school had to do community service so the school looked like it was 'helping the community' so it would get a good image. This would in turn disassociate it from some very public ‘incidents’ that had happened in recent years.

You remember the school that had those kids that beheaded a chicken on muck up day, well that was us, Parade College. We also had done other things like go and trash other schools in the area and steal there stuff.

Well back to the topic, we had to either go do community service at a primary school, nursing home or a place for the disabled. I choose the nursing home because I hated little kids and was uncomfortable around mentally disabled people.
The nursing home really scared me, the one I went to mainly cared for people with serious dementia/Alzheimer. All we really had to do was spend time with them and say hi to them etc.

Drexl says:

*continued from last post *

This one incident really freaked me out; a nurse gave one of the patients the phone because her son was on the line from London wanting to wish her happy birthday for her 90th. The old lady didn't even know it was her birthday and didn't even know that it was her son who was talking to her.

After a couple of minutes she handed the phone back to me to give to the nurse, to my surprise I heard her sons voice on the phone going 'hello, hello, you there mum' I ignored him because I didn't know what to do and I gave the phone back to the nurse who apologised profusely and then hung up. The whole thing really scared me.

I think that experience really shaped my outlook on life; basically I want to die young doing what I love and not sitting around in a nursing home rotting away waiting to die. Maybe I’ll change that outlook later on in life if I ever decide to have a family or anything, but in the unforeseeable future, I can't see that changing.

Also I’m not trying to be an arsehole through my comments, I’m just saying that these people deserve better than what they have got.
