You apply for 'Direct Entry'. Instead of going through ADFA you do 17 weeks at Point Cook in Melb. at 'Officer Training School' which is your basic officer and military training, as well as leadership training. After that you move onto Tamworth to begin pilot training. Or to East Sale to the 'School of Air Navigation' to do your nav training.
It's just a different way of doing things if you don't want a degree and want to get into your training much quicker. This way you'll stay an Officer Cadet until you pass SAN (unless you did uni before you joined) where as those that did ADFA first will be Pilot Officers, but in the long run this is just a little less money for a while, and maybe a year less seniority... Once you pass training you become Pilot Officer.
