Yeah your right patty, i think i read a quote of Ken Kataragi(sp?) saying that PS3 is not a gaming machine, but more-so a multimedia machine. So hes saying they arent focusing on gaming but rather a well-rounded home entertainment device, yet most of us just want it for gaming.

Now, not getting into a Blu-Ray v HD-DVD war, but both formats are pretty much the same, both are High Definition, Blu-Ray has a bit more capacity and HD-DVD is alot cheaper. Some people want the Ps3 more because it has a Blu-Ray player built in, yet the 360 is going to get an external HD-DVD player that will cost $100. So if you were to buy as 360 when the HD-DVD player is out, you'll get the console, player and a free game for $750 compared to the PS3's 1000 and no games.

And stonecold, can we just quit the fanboyism mate, the 360 is not an inferior machines, both consoles have similar specs, some out weigh the others. Dont talk up the PS3 yet because no screenshots or videos have been released that have been generated from the PS3 itself.

Ill only buy the PS3 sooner than later if it REALLY brings something new to gaming or has something very unique that they havent told us about. Otherwise id rather save the 1000.

PS3 is too expensive for what it is.
The games will proably cost a bit more than rrp of 360 games (which is 120)
360 has alot more top of the line exclusives (Gears of War, Too Human, Huxley, Dead Rising, Saints Row, etc, etc.)

i got it lucky man i get sweet discount at my store on games. And if i dont have the cash to buy it i can rent it for free from work as long as we have at least 1 copy in store.
